I cut out the whole background! This was risky but so worth it. I kinda love the depth in the plate itself- and the ephemerality of tetrapack as a print material.
There will probably never be more than three prints of this as the cardboard is degrading from the ink, as you can see.

thank you! there's a variety of print making techniques here, but the main one is aquatint, where you basically burn dust onto metal, and from lightest to darkest paint out the layers, etch them in acid and repeat. this video shows what the plate looks like!
