First complete dk socks. These toe up with afterthought heel. These are pretty thick so definitely warmer. A fun knit but I think I prefer a gussetted sock for better fit.#sockknitting

A modified interpretation of Socks on a Plane pattern, in which I put two rows of cables rather than mirrored single cables on each sock. I don’t want to be thinking about which sock goes on which foot, so this way they are interchangeable. Yarn is a lovely merino from the thrift shop.#sockknitting

Recently finished books: The Silk Roads by Peter Frankopan is a romp through history with a focus on trade and its political impact. Engaging- highly recommend!
Homing is an author’s account of striving to align her choices to environmental values. Lots of inspiring ideas- also recommend.

Some mending projects since the start of the year 1. Sock darning 2. A lunchbag that the side seam had come apart and lost a button 3. Socks that had been casted off too tightly that needed a cuff redo 4. A scarf with three different spots of moth holes
