I took these last night from my driveway in Kitsap County. They were so bright they were shining through the breaks in the cloud layer. And they were visible to the naked eye. No luck yet tonight though.

We had a lot of clouds but it was still visible to the naked eye.

From my front yard just west of Seattle. Mostly cloudy bit a definite green glow in the patch of sky that is clear.

Some times it is a hard won victory. Sometimes it comes easy. Both are rewarding. Earning her trust was beyond special.

We find her like this all the time. And unlike many cats it’s not a trap. She loves a good belly rub.

I get to Arizona often so have had the opportunity to explore a lot of it. Another highlight was Canyon de Chelly on the Navaho reservation. Maybe you know it . No crowds and up close to petroglyphs and cliff dwellings.

It rained to night. A noticeable amount of precipitation fell from the sky for the first time since May. Mother Nature has spoken. The PNW is now in fall. Adjusting plans accordingly.
