I've been doing other stuff too of course - I'm working on a new level, but its mechanics aren't ready to show off yet. I also smoothed out how loading the player into rooms works.

Also yes this is in fact a non-weapon item like the putter: it's a bicycle chainwhip, they're intended for keeping the layered chain circle thing in place during repairs. Marley gives it to him.

It's longer-range than the Club and can be flicked forwards and upwards if the button is held down, but it hinders midair movement during the attack and you need to crouch to hit smaller enemies.

Also yes the clouds going in front of the hills intentional, it both solves a little problem i had AND i think it looks cool in a surreal way befitting of this being a surreal area

Now that I'm done with the work for the SAGE demo, I'm going to move on to working on the connecting tissue of the game. The level select, level title cards, a file select system, etc.
