Just for clarity, the Mercy bankruptcy was well before and unrelated to the current cuts.

Unfortunately so many of those decisions were made before this was even on the radar.

Yes, most people I know here are worried about their jobs and therefore not contributing to the economy like they were previously.

Sadly, University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics directly serves a high percentage of the rural Iowa population, who soundly voted in favor of this administration (not to mention the indirect contributions towards cancer research in a state that sits towards the top of the cancer rankings 😢)
