I highly recommend visiting Udine, Cividale del Fruili as well as Aquileia for its mosaics and Roman ruins. Also Palmanova is a unique place to stop for lunch to see its star shaped fortress walls.

It surprised me as well. I went in August and thought it had a really cool vibe. We had a great time there.

It’s the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival that takes place during the month of April. Farms are open from April 1-30 with mid-April being peak viewing. If you fly into Seattle you can rent a car to get there, about one hour away from the city. Or there are tours available from Seattle.

Yes, Sicily is so beautiful and the people were very welcoming. We loved Taormina and would love to go back to Sicily and explore the Aeolian Islands off the coast. Have you been?

Yes, definitely touristy, but I feel like the history and natural beauty are the reason why tourists love it so much. I went off season, so it was not as busy. Loved Sicily (and Italy) as a whole but probably because I’m from New Orleans originally and my ancestors are from Palermo.

Mine are homemade ginger snaps with real pieces of candied ginger and bacon fat! A spicy, salty, sweet and tangy deliciousness!!! 🤤
