Smudge, a lost racing pigeon flew in on Monday needing respite. Three days later with a tummy full of sunflower hearts, we released him but three hours later he's still here!

It hasn't been the most productive growing season up here in the Welsh hills but I have some ripe tomatoes. Lots of green ones that will become chutney.

This swallow family didn't join the flock that arrived last week. They are still feeding the fledgling for their big flight South.
