Presumably Malone isn't talking about measles epidemics that undocumented European immigrants spread among indigenous populations in the Americas starting around, say 1600--along with smallpox, TB, malaria, and other diseases. Thought not.

Blatant racism is not okay. It's never okay. Failure to call out Trump's degrading hate and vile speech is not okay. Silence is not okay. It's shameful. It's cowardly. There is no excuse.

No Cassidy, here's what you can say: As a physician, I took the Hippocratic oath. As a Senator, I swore to defend the Constitution. When I voted for RFK, Jr., I broke both vows. I believed an ignorant, dangerous liar, and I was wrong. I will dedicate myself to removing him from office...

Good job, but honestly...phone providers, retail sites, entertainment sites ought to preface with fine print stating "It's not you, it's me." The faceless programmers are highly fallible.

Sometimes his vision worked, sometimes it didn't. Sometimes the public liked it; sometimes they didn't. Decisions, however, were based on preserving and augmenting the historical record, not on arbitrary authoritarian self-aggrandizement.

He wasn't the final word. He worked (and argued) with qualified architects, constituencies, the Commission of Fine Arts, the Park Commission, and other authorities to build consensus on placement, size, function,...materials, and style. All of it.

FDR did spearhead major construction and architectural changes building memorials and administrative buildings in the District, the National Mall and beyond. He was certainly hands on, motivated by a life-long interest in architecture, the exigencies of a growing government, and later, WWII. But...

FDR sure didn't unilaterally hire a bulldozer and demolish the structure. In fact, he stated re the White House "...that the building of the new structure shall blend with the lines of the old."

Yes, move it. Why headquarter in a country consistently exercising a veto power to override votes of a majority of nations--a country that, itself, consistently overrides the will of the majority of its own citizens and consolidates power in the political minority?
