He sure has - it's incredibly refreshing to witness evidence-based decision making when the default is often populist, policy-by-focus-group on the the fly. By all means it's hard to win elections when the media love a gold ol' beat up, so it sure is inspiring!

On the one hand, this is a spectacular result and vindicates the decision to implement 20mph. On the other hand, it is completely unsurprising given the intrinsic link between speed & road trauma. Wales is a beacon of light that I hope charts the way forward for many other jurisdictions.
