I think most people underestimate how much work stuff like this takes. Even I regularly underestimate how much work it's going to be before I start in on it. Glad you didn't have to retopo from the sculpt and did it the other way around instead. I hate retopo.

full disclosure, it was originally an experiment to make the simplest suction cup normal map that i could just slap on a model rather than having lots and lots of geometry for each suction cup. i made a more accurate version first, but it didnt bake so well.

There is a blender addon that I think does just that but is the one I referenced that's $15. Besides, I don't want extra strain on blender. It struggles enough as it is.

Oh - AND it does some things that an unknowing user may find...concerning. It won't work if you don't have ffmpeg properly installed and at one point it opens powershell to convert the screenshot images to mp4, then delete the screenshots.

Oh, I do *not* enjoy coding. It's mostly just recital of all the cursewords I know. Even in the comments. Maybe especially in the comments.

ooo that's good feedback. I don't know if I'm willing to alter the program to include a timer though. It was fundamentally supposed to just make timelapse creation easier so I would actually make timelapses since I'm too lazy to hit record on OBS.

Can't forget the audience. No lights inside yet cause honestly I don't like all the giant orange outlines including light sources causes. There's probably a way to turn that off for just the light sources but whatever.
