Despite all that, they are inseparable.

We can debate why or how close they are, but the game periodically emphasizes to us how closely they are linked, it's just up to us to interpret what that means.

The way Caelus effortlessly stands out.

While March tries so hard but doesn't.

Caelus somehow succeeds at everything, and March is a girlfailure.

When you start digging under the superficial "they're just silly" Caelus and March really couldn't be more different.

Caelus' stelleron and March's six-phased ice stand at polar opposites too.

The Stelleron, a dynamic anomaly that shouldn't be but is.

Six phased Ice, a fixed phenomenon, bound by the laws of the imaginary and immutable.

I love how their colors are perfectly triadic too

Speaking of mundane, despite her looks and charms. March's presence in the overall story of HSR is a quiet one.

Like how she was floating through the space in ice, she drifts through the narrative without fanfare, yet constant.

(hell, she's the only remaining 4* on the AE)

However, she's also immutable. That glittery exterior is constant outside of the few sober moments she has in private. (obligatory, mostly with the TB)

Her charm and constant silliness is grounding and constant. Making even the most outrageous events, just a bit more mundane.

Like ice, from the outside she is glittering and beautiful, but based on dialogue hints, that's not the case for her on the inside.

March admits to getting lonely, Himeko mentions she sees an insecurity in March, and she deflects seriousness with humor.

March and her six-phased ice is interesting. Because you would expect an "icy" character to be cold and distant, but March is warm and happy and cheerful.

Right?

With that dynamism also comes his "star-like" quality.

He is the main character, the grand story revolves around him, and people are drawn into his orbit.

All this happens TO him too, he doesn't even need to try, hence why even at his most cynical, that magnetism remains.

Caelus' Stelleron represents his nature as a dynamo. He's chaotic, unpredictable, and volatile.

Combined with the implication that he is supposed to change the tides of fate, the theme him being "disruptive" runs extremely deep.

People talk about how "opposites attract" so immo cook some #Caemarch brainrot itt

Especially with a character like Caelus who can have their personality molded to a degree by the player, "opposites" in dynamic are debatable.

But one thing that isn't as debatable, is thematic opposites.

Look, I love Caelus and March's shenanigans.

But what REALLY sails #Caemarch is their closeness.

March is someone who's so much others' sunshine that it's easy to overlook what's going on inside her. But so many times she shows Caelus that overlooked side of her.
