From what I understand of what is reported, there is no news about Grok scraping telegram's data. It will probably learn from interacting with it, or if it can be added to a group chat.
2FA is about preventing other people (or bots) from taking your account, a separate problem altogether.

Also, something to keep in mind.
Always suspect any platform you use for free (this one included).
If you are not paying with money, you are paying with your data (and sometimes even if you do).
You should always assume that data is used in AI-models, just not public facing ones like Grok.

I know it will stay as part of the culture (like crypto), and that sucks.
The fact that Telegram offers Grok to their premium users means that it is costing them money, so the best way to counter this move is for those users to not use it, or to boycott them until the feature is removed.

I am painfully aware of this whole Generative AI shit show (it is constantly present on my day job).
Personally I think it will go the same way blockchain did.
People will overestimate it, put all their eggs in this basket, then panic when their Gen.AI-directed projects fail, and got to the next fad

Telegram (like Signal's) use end-to-end encryption.
This means that (unless they are lying) Telegram itself doesn't have access to the messages.

We should be wary and stay informed, but nothing on that news implies that Grok will get in your groups, unless you invite it.
