Austin is starting to consistently play on a different level. It's becoming effortless for him in the way it is for the best players.
February 11, 2025 at 4:45 AM
He is a one man offense, yet not exactly in the way Lebron used to be.
February 11, 2025 at 4:28 AM
I dont know much about him but he seems to be a hustle guy with some physicality

It's crazy how no body is talking about Gabe. Miami Gabe is a game changer and he is finally starting to look like that dude. Between Gabe returning to his old self, Vando back and the addition of DFS, you have 3 championship level role players suddenly added to your team.
February 7, 2025 at 8:54 AM
Don't underestimate the return of a healthy Vanderbilt, Gabe Vincent finally looking like Miami Heat Gabe (which is HUGE) and a guy like DFS on the team. Lakers effectively added 3 championship level role players over the course of 2 months.

What you really mean is, couldn't we have somehow kept Max? 😉
February 6, 2025 at 6:47 AM
Agreed. BTW, really happy we kept Gabe and Rui. Gabe is finally starting to look like the guy we signed. And Rui looks like he is going to eat not having to share the ball with AD any more.
February 6, 2025 at 6:44 AM
Agreed but Pelinka couldn't come up empty handed, there was a limited center market (Kessler and Turner not available) and every team knew it.

I knew knecht would be used to find a big. This was the cost of keeping Hachimura. You don't waste a season of Lebron/Luka, so I get it that they had to overpay due to the laker tax if they didn't want to wait for the summer. Bunch of GMs kicking themselves though.
February 6, 2025 at 5:35 AM
That's true. I do think though he has been amazing as a playmaker as of late. I hope Lebron refers to him and Luka during the regular season. Will give Lebron more energy for the post season.
February 4, 2025 at 6:48 AM
Wait was AR ever anything other than the 3rd banana? Did I miss it when he was declared higher than either AD or Lebron in the pecking order?
February 4, 2025 at 6:43 AM
If he can suddenly become a good finisher. Sometimes he reminds me of Kwame Brown newe the rim..misses so many bunnies.
February 3, 2025 at 5:56 AM
Can't wait to see what Sacramento got for Fox. It will either shut up Mavs fans or incite them. Lol
February 3, 2025 at 1:36 AM
Rui is a small ball center imo. I start him over vando (who can't play center and would get injured doing so) especially because with rui you have 3pt shooters at each position. And yes, barring a trade, we are screwed against jokic no matter who's starts so might as well be rui
February 2, 2025 at 10:52 PM
Lol.. okay. Have a nice day.
February 2, 2025 at 9:51 PM
So you expect them to change their story depending on who interviews them?
February 2, 2025 at 9:38 PM
Well in all the history of sports I agree that whatever people say publicly has always been the 100% truth. 😉
February 2, 2025 at 9:31 PM
This trade is a deviation from precedent. Which is all the more reason, it's more likely that there was a demand to go to the lakers, rather than just a spontaneous decision out of the blue to no longer commit to Luka coincidentally just before he is owed an extextension.
February 2, 2025 at 8:51 PM
Rumor is that he told the mavericks that he wanted to be a laker and was not going to sign an extension. I believe it mavericks got out in front of it with the conditioning complaints in order to make it look better for them
February 2, 2025 at 8:26 PM
Nope. Lakers social media has gone completely downhill. I hate how everything about the franchise feels like penny pinching.
February 2, 2025 at 7:34 PM
Lol, you get to be in shock like the rest of us too. Just insane. Lebron didn't even do this to me. Maybe Nash/Howard was the last time?
February 2, 2025 at 7:24 PM
Knechts importance doesn't decrease... Luka is only a year older than him. Giving up Knecht is a 100% win now move sacrificing future potential. I see it on both sides. Indiana has to be frugal too and can't just waste assets unlike larger market teams.
