I think the main problem with anything Fediverse is popularity. Most people don't care or even understand decentralization, growing a following will be extremely difficult. I think Bsky has the same problem, most people are just to inconvenienced to try another platform.

Its similar to twitter but its built on the Fediverse. If I could sum it up its a bunch of social platforms that can all share posts and data, this is good for a number of reasons, and makes your data transferable between platforms. It has its downsides too I would recommend doing your own research.
