This week’s #ShowMeYourKnits is scarves. I have a few to choose from, but I was pretty happy with this one featuring a laurel leaf pattern for my friend Laurel that I made as a surprise gift knit earlier this year.

I learned how to knit in late 2010. In these past almost 15 years, I have steadfastly refused to try magic loop. Today, out of necessity (i.e., I didn’t have the correct size DPNs), I gave it a shot. It turned out fine, but I don’t know that I would do it for a full pair of socks. #knitting #knitsky

It’s a bit of a disaster, but I’m fond of this one.

The very first double knitting project I did was enormous and insane. 😂 (See below) I’ve only done a couple, but I really enjoy the process. I kind of look at it as a cross between knitting and cross stitch with the way the counting/patterns work.

This week’s #ShowMeYourKnits is color work, of which I don’t do a ton. Two of my favorite pieces are this baby sleep sack made for my cousin as a shower gift when she was expecting her first child. The Wonder Woman hat was made for another cousin that was fighting cancer at the time (she won!)
