The points on this thumb turned out great. I was a little nervous that they'd be... not great. Very happy with it, just gotta repeat it on the next one. Been hand-sewing this using what I think is called a back stitch. Going purely off vibes with it.

I'm flat lining my gloves so I used basting spray to keep the liner and main fabric together while I traced on my pattern and then stitched along the lines

Version 2 is done and I'm pleased with the fit! Now onto the real ones! (Dont look at how badly I pulled and skewed the bias on the pointer finger LMAO I know how to NOT do that now)

Since he's primarily armor, I want to challenge myself with the sewing by really making sure it shines and is CLEAN. So I started drafting my own pattern for gusseted gloves. There's a ton of math involved and I used the metric system to make my life easier.

A slightly less disorganized room! I was able to shift everything around and give the floor a good sweep and mop. The hard part is organizing all the smaller items and giving everything a home.

Goal today is to get this room cleaned up and fully organized. My house is 118 years old so it has basically no closet space and the rooms are small. So this is pretty much a giant walk-in closet and 3D printing, painting, foamsmithing, and any other "messy craft" space.

I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm doing something! The goal is to have the inside set up for leds and supports. And some kind of access point to the electronics. Blender is a little bit tricky for me, but I'll get it eventually!

Dyed my base boots black! Made a pattern for the spats (I dont want to go full boot cover for the boots).

Assembled the sleeve shell and liners. I added gold bias tape to the cuff of the black fabric, then stitched thru the ditch to catch the other edge of the bias tape and white cuff in it. Attached the white cuff to the liner and bag lined them together.

Bias tape added to black undercoat. Didnt really know how to hand sew, so you can see my improvement from where I started and where I ended lol.

I am so bad at taking progress pics lol. Got a ton of bias tape made (probably not enough). This fabric frays like a nightmare so all seams/edges are pinked. I wish I took a pic of my swatch, but the paint for the cape matches the bias tape PERFECTLY. 1 month and 1 day left to finish Byleth!

Video and pics can't mix, I guess, so here's a video of the finished filigree. I get in the Zone ™️ and forget to take pics. I got them perfectly even first try which makes me feel so accomplished 😤 Now I can finish hemming it and get it flat lined together and prepped for bias tape.

White overcoat shell and lining assembled. Just gotta add the details to the shell, then I can assemble it and add bias tape. Did a test of the undercoat filigree and got that all done as well!

Got the tiara, brooch, & dagger printed. It was my first time using ABS (dagger is resin), so it took me quite a few attempts before they finished. I'm hoping my heat gun can curl the ends of the tiara a bit. We'll see! 3d files are by @dangerousladies.bsky.social

Got the lining assembled for the undercoat. I had to split the lining in the front to add a zipper for a middle closure. The rest of the front will close with snaps.

I started assembling my undercoat and the loop appliqué patterned out. And got the filigree drawn up to digitize and embroider on. Love working with suede (needs a good lint roll) even tho it's a finicky fabric to work with. Yes, I'll be so warm, but I love it too much 😅
