I’m only here cos I got invited, I’m more special than you ha ha ha
When you say ‘years’ I’d be very interested to know when abouts you stopped. Not because I’m offended lol, but because EVERYTHING has changed since 2020 and it should have done years prior.

It isn’t rushed-out ‘content’ anymore, it’s something I actually want to stand alone

Thanks man. The irony is painful in hindsight, lol. What I’m doing now I wanted to do since around 2015 and I was just too worried about losing everything - which ultimately lead to me making shit for the sake of shit in order to stop my channel ‘leaving the algorithm’

Bingo. I’m not against the term at all - I said that in the talk lol

The main thing is that you shouldn’t HAVE to feel like you ARE ‘making content’ when it comes to YT, because that has implications not found in many other artistic industries. Musicians, filmmakers, digital artists, etc.

The honest answer is that it’s a load of bollocks lol. You can get obsessed with the stats and nearly kill yourself overworking to try and ‘work’ with it. You absolutely CAN create things with the purpose of ‘line-go-up’ but if you don’t wanna do that, you suffer greatly when you try to fit into it

Thanks man. If you look at the most successful channels on YouTube, that is what the algorithm likes. If you aren’t interested in competing directly with that, why bother? Haha. Just make a good thing and people respond. Carve your own corner out

Don’t get me wrong, the literal metrics weren’t ‘bad’, some people would kill for them. But views and subs don’t mean money. Subs don’t even mean views. It’s about how ‘healthy’ your channel is and mine was not. Plus, the views now were not what they were during the month I got paid adsense for them

Thanks man ❤️ Absolutely. Stripping it down past my rambling;

Make thing you love/want to make, it comes out naturally better, it hopefully leads to success with luck, big things follow, repeat and grow.

Then if it doesn’t work out, you had fun anyway doing what you wanted, so you didn’t waste time

Thank you for this comment, it was lovely content

Thanks man, appreciate it. It makes perfect sense when you break it down. Trying to concisely explain to people why I hate my mid 2010’s catalog and why the majority audience fell off is pretty difficult, but it’s all linked

I have absolutely no idea what I’m looking at lol
