I'm guessing that group of people prefer stronger government, and probably have high trust in the government if their people are the ones in charge.
Coupled with a lack of understanding of consensus mechanisms, they probably see strong regulation as the only answer.

I think it'd be cool if people could fork lists too if a respected list goes rogue or is not maintained.
And having some local user logic that can override the mute list for people of your choosing.

What are your thoughts on shared mute/block lists muting more people than you'd like over time?
For ex. let's say you sub to a list meant to mute a group of malicious people. But let's say the owner of that list's definition of malicious grows more liberal over time.

But I don't see how a debate that could be educating for a large number of people about the science could be so bad.
