Had my first cat ringworm experience with a foster (fail) kitten this last winter. I'm forever traumatized, but he grew into a sweet and silly boy.

My cat is missing the same leg and hugs her remaining leg like that, too 😂 She also likes to lay with it straight out under her. Here are her back toes poking out from under her chest.

My Minnie Kitty (Minerva) was my first foster fail after she showed up on my porch out of the blue with a busted back leg. Got an emergency appointment and fell in love with her during the healing process. She tears through the house at top speed and climbs up a 6ft cat tree no problem.

Arrived last night to begin JJ's trial run at a tentative home. He's about 5 1/2 months old, but the last 4 months he's been in iso, so everything is new and strange for him. He did great on the long drive and has settled in his room. He's such a happy and outgoing boy.

Final stretch was a slog. I would spin a little over a yard, then have to wind the single on by hand. Time to let it sit for a bit, then wind off to be plied. I know I'll be happy with the finished yarn but I am so ready for the next project.

Yesterday foster boy JJ officially cleared ringworm, bloodwork came back great, no FeLV & FIV, was vaccinated, and neutered. He's such a sweet, silly boy. 5 months vs 5 weeks

Here's a picture closer to the mountain! This was taken in what's called the Devastated Area. The trees here have grown a lot since I first went over 30 years ago. When the volcano blew in 1915, it went sideways and wiped out the trees in the area.
