FYI, folks from Bluesky. Reporters at The NYT, among other news organizations, are now generating a giant wave of accountability stories about the new Trump era. Reading these stories, sharing them, is a form of accountability as well. It is a form of participatory democracy too. Substance matters.

Another cool/quiet win in this rule: a 30% tax credit (+10% in energy communities and +10% with domestic content) for businesses that install thermal storage. That includes heat pumps at industrial and commercial buildings if they're set up to help time-shift energy use.

The lock screen on my windows-based PC just told me that "students, parents and educators are embracing AI at every level." Ya think? Could it possibly be because of the persistent coercion? Basically fanning the flames of climate change, and we have no opt-out. Gross.

Getting a detailed blow-by-blow of Mark Rober’s latest video (he makes a satellite ans sends it to space on a spacex rocket to take a selfie?)…. And now my 9-yo is asking whether Elon Musk is a bad guy. I think I’m going to pour myself a very small glass of wine.

Drove by the Zimmer Coal Plant on the Ohio River the other day. I allowed myself to think its plumes of steam and smoke were beautiful... nothing I could do about it anyway now, right?!? Then I read this article and realized I was letting myself go. www.nytimes.com/2024/11/25/o...
Opinion | Don’t Let Donald Trump Drive You Into Internal Exile
Focusing on your own life and disengaging from politics can be appealing. But it is a abdication of responsibility.

Powerful day in Oxford OH celebrating folks who built their own homes with Habitat. Hoping Trump administration doesn’t blow up the Inflation Reduction Act— those rebates are key for keeping utilities affordable in homes like these.

If you were thinking about getting an EV with the $7,500 IRA tax credit, do it before Trump is inaugurated.
