Won the last 4 because we had the best lines--especially on the defensive front. Getting no pressure today cause this year's defensive line can't do it alone. Gonna need a lot of investment there before next season. #GoBlue

Imo, Vlatko got extra time all wrong. Didn't continue momentum from reg, sought to calm things down & get back in shape. Moved Hopkins back wide so Bia was lone target again, focus of GOT. Then kept Hopkins wide after Bia hurt. Had no one to get on a ball, couldn't get out of our half. Sigh. #KCBaby
Hopefully can use Wheeler (!!!) more in extra time getting behind with her pace and letting Hopkins stay toward the middle so Bia can feed her in (assuming this ref doesn't send Bia off) #KCBaby

It wasn't until their 94th nwsl game (regular season + playoffs) that a Current player scored a free kick goal. It's only been 12 in between the 1st & the 2nd that Debinha scored today.

Guess it's time for an update to this. Results from Hunt's last 20 games don't really argue for his firing, but it should be mentioned that includes non-league games. In league, this season, he's 1.07 ppg, and over last 20 in league he's 1.25.

In 1st 2 league seasons with #ReadingFC, Lewis Wing scored on 9.3% of his shots from outside the box. The avg RDG player since 2013/14 scores on just 4.3%. And that extra 0.3% is only because Wing is part of the average. So far this season, he's now 1 of 4 from outside the box. Truly incredible.

Royals TV said #ReadingFC haven't scored from a set piece this season, but technically Marriott's goal from outside the box against Barnsley was off a free kick. Just from real deep in our half.
Marriott's goal, along w being funny, was also Reading's first set piece goal in the league this season, which is also funny. Especially when you look back at the lane thru which Lewis Wing hit this free kick down the pitch and McGoldrick's grimace as it's hit.

No top box defense, Bassong out of step w entire team, zero threat awareness. This is worst #SportingKC team on corners in my tracking (back to 2016), and they've screwed up so many ways, has to be on management. That was 12th goal/10th pt in my scoring, near 7% success rate for opponents. Vomit.

Man marking portion of our corner defense is proving useless. Savage (like last corner goal we conceded) was just watching his man from steps behind get a header from middle of 6 yd box. Coaching philosophy of how they mark needs to change. Cannot defend a corner from behind your man. #ReadingFC

Glad that Chawinga scored to stay atop the golden boot race, but looking ahead to the playoffs, I'd rather Bia to have scored (one of the 2 great goal opportunities she's had since coming on). #KCBaby

2nd reaction: more sympathy, same criticism. To start, I think both Williams & Burns were too deep at the beginning, but asuuming Burns correct, Williams starts too shaded into Ahmed's zone. He compounds that when Watson comes down by moving behind Watson in an attempt at separation.
