We joined about half of the states population at the State Capitol today. Wow was it busy. Then we went down and did Memory Grove. Fun day.

We did the Red Potato Loop today. Incredible views of the valley. It was nice to get up in the hills too.

We went on another scavenger hunt today. More redwoods and some random parks. Had a few we could not find today, which is disappointing, but otherwise it was a fun day!

We went on a very nerdy Easter egg hunt today looking for sequoia trees. Here are 3 of the 15 or so we found today. Who knew? Redwoods in Utah! Obviously not as impressive as the ones in California, but still super neat!

We did the Rose Creek trail today. Not too bad for a city trail.

We did Yellow Fork Canyon and were reminded why we tend to do lower elevation this time of year. Trudging through the snow is hard work! But it was pretty.

Not my original plan but we explored a bit around Lee Creek and stumbled upon the ruins of the original Saltair! That was a fun, unexpected surprise. So again, not what I planned but it ended up being super fun and interesting.

My local hawk friend came back and roosted in my neighbors tree again for the winter. It's nice to step outside and see this little cutey.

We went to Farmington Bay today. Had a good wildlife day! Lots of hawks, a random coyote (never seen one of those out there), and an eagle! Which you can see if you zoom in. Fun day!

We did the newly completed west section of the Bingham Creek Trail. Nice to see some open space not being turned into more townhomes. Not bad for another late start day.

We did the Big Cottonwood Trail today (apparently renamed from the Big Cottonwood Canyon Trail, which makes more sense). I wanted to check out the new west section. Its fun, for a city trail. Plus, 1 of only a few covered bridges I know if in the valley.
