AlphaFold is pretty legit! I would say amino acid/nucleotide sequences are some of the best use cases. But in general the AI hype is dumb. If you don't tell me*how* you use AI in the pitch I'm assuming you shoehorned it in unnecessarily.

I was having some issues earlier with eRA and the NDA. Apparently now you can't have a non-institutional email for Login.gov, even though originally they specifically instructed to not use institutional email.

I think he cut the scientific roles to distract from the regulatory role cuts, with the added bonus of pushing more scientists into the private workforce so he can hire good people and pay them less than he would have otherwise.
