The investigation remains ongoing. The OTP reaffirmed its commitment to continue to effectively investigate and prosecute gender-based crimes.

3️⃣ Call upon the international community to pursue all accountability strategies, including, inter alia, by 𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗳𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗱; supporting prosecutions at the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁 and 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁𝘀; and ensuring accountability for abuses of 𝗖𝗘𝗗𝗔𝗪 at the 𝗜𝗖𝗝.

2️⃣ Emphasise that all justice and accountability efforts, including reparations processes, must be 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 and 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗼𝗿-𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱; and

We take this opportunity to:

1️⃣ Reiterate our joint call for the establishment of a 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿-𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗺;

1️⃣ the Committee will center the voices, needs & perspectives of 🇦🇫 women & girls inside the country & beyond

2️⃣ it will put forth concrete recommendations for the entire international community

3️⃣ it will contribute to a meaningful way forward for effective accountability, prevention & transformation
