Hope he gets rid of player power asap. NO ONE SHOULD BE UNTOUCHABLE. Act out of line and you are on the chopping block.
Also if we are going mostly for unkown/low transfer fees targets, it would also mean lower wages. WIN/WIN
Now if only someone could remove toxic fans from this fanbase....

So true. Unfortunately, some people are also just United news aggregators who repost anything United related, they see without verifying their credibility at all. Doesn't help anyone in the slightest.

Instead of following every random journalist with zero or no credibility, it would be so much easier to follow a small number of highly credible ones. Have been doing this for a long time now and it has brought me so much peace of mind.

Not as straightforward as it looks unfortunately. Glazers don't want to sell anymore from the looks of it. And even if they do, they will want a higher price per share for SJR/anyone else to buy it.
INEOS also are losing money in most of their businesses. Doubt even SJR is willing to invest more rn.
February 17, 2025 at 3:04 PM
You gotta ask SJR that 🤣
Wasn't fully on board with that decision and some others as well. They have made some monumental mistakes since buying into United just as the Glazers did in the past but will they ever learn from them? I really hope they do.

Calling a spade a spade isn't a crime. Amorim and SJR both have said it. It will take years for us to get back to the top. 11/12 teams in PL rn are better than us in almost all aspects of football. Not saying we completely ignore results but rather focus on if/how we improve on them each year.
February 5, 2025 at 10:45 AM
Didn't want him sacked. That's completely on INEOS and if they are capable of doing things differently from now on or are they Glazers 2.0 repeating same mistakes over and over again. It has no bearing on Amorim's competency as a manager. As of now, SJR's actions haven't filled me with confidence.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal finished 8th in their first season under Klopp and Arteta respectively. And both their squads are now consistently competing for PL only because their managers were given full backing from the board despite their first season debacles. Time for us to do the same.

Figure out who fits/can be molded to fit and those who don't can be let go in the summer. There is nothing to lose with bad results now (unless we are getting relegated). For far too long have we been obsessed with short term results and the mess we are in is a result of that.
February 5, 2025 at 10:13 AM
Agree with most except that I don't want Amorim adapting/changing the system for the players. What would be the point doing that now if he has to go back to his original system next year? This year is absolutely done for. Grind the new system into the players irrespective of the results.
February 5, 2025 at 10:13 AM
I would rather we have pretty bad results rn (anything barring relegation) and then have slowly improving results from next season rather than first season success of many previous managers and then start having dire performances and results going downhill from season 2.
February 5, 2025 at 8:12 AM
Manager reverts to his original system, results go bad. Manager is not given the time to fully implement his system and is sacked midway through the process, again leaving the new manager mess of a squad and the cycle continues. It's upto INEOS to break the cycle. IMO Amorim is right in his belief.
February 5, 2025 at 8:10 AM
Isn't that the problem though? Every new manager is handed a squad of players who have been buys from previous managers and majority of them don't fit the new manager's system. Manager changes his system to fit the squad initially. New players are bought suiting the managers system.
February 5, 2025 at 8:10 AM
Should be players catering to managers system, not the other way round. Figure out who fits and who doesn't. First season under EtH was decent because he changed system to suit the players he had but when he changed it to more suit his style, look where it got us. Short term pain for long term gain.

Please don't go Goldbridge's route of shithousery for click-baits. Apart from Antony, everyone else has been avg, if not good. Casemiro might have been the only other questionable signing but our team was crying for a CDM then. And then we buy a manager with totally different system and blame EtH?

After years of being baited by these scam journalists, found out there are only two sources you can really trust: Fabrizio Romano and The Athletic. Rest are a bunch of click-bait hooligans. Stay away from them for your own mental well-being.
