to be fair though 99% of politics is just one side being very obviously wrong. slavery was very obviously wrong in the 1860s, but half of people still supported it, so it was political. these things are not based in reality

it turns out writing books is hard. i've written 5,000 words so far, which is mostly because i've been focusing on other things, but partially because i honestly don't know if my idea has enough legs to go that far. i could comfortably get it to 20k i think though
