instead highlighting how fulfilling it is to be boisterous and rambly in my nation's language. to be asgyaabax (a chatterbox) in my language is something i strive for. my language teachers have said that we have to be like babies, babbling and mixing things up, in order to become more confident.

the spirits surrounding the macaw represent spoken words, the language itself coming alive in the air. language learning is embarrassing, not to mention the trauma that resurfaces reclaiming indigenous languages specifically; i felt that the stereotype of the macaw disarms that embarrassment for me,
