Have two more bags for donating and it still feels like I’m drowning in Stuff ughhhh. Why does it feel like house stuff is never-ending lately?

The nicer weather has got me purging the house like WHOA. Today’s garbage pick up was like 6 hugs bags of trash and I’m still collecting stuff for donating and it feels so good 😭

Didn’t realize I’d have so many feelings about being a 38-year-old bride. Most of my peers have already done this at least once or decided they were never going to, so there’s this weird insecurity that nobody cares about my wedding/marriage because it’s nothing new to anybody else.

It feels pretty right that what I’m considering to be our wedding is decidedly not very wedding at all 🤣 There will also be board games and crafting (A JEWELRY STATION) and like I am SO EXCITED to celebrate with people I love after not knowing this would ever happen for me???

Also, the second Saturday of December is traditionally my annual Christmas cookie party and I found out Chris doesnt really care about cake (ew who is he) and instead asked if we could have cookies for our dessert, and that’s even more perfect. My annual cookie party will also be our wedding party 😭

Still no venue, and guest list not finalized, but getting to celebrate our first wedding anniversary with a bunch of people we love feels like the best “wedding” we could have. It’s not normal by any means but lol since when do I do normal 🤣

So we “eloped” in a small ceremony on 12/13/24 and were waffling about a date for the wedding “party” to celebrate and WE FINALLY PICKED ONE and I am so excited about it. Because “wedding” triggers so many add’l cost, our party is gonna be 12/13/25 and I kind of love it? ANNIVERSARY PARTY.

I feel like my left eye has not stopped twitching in the last two weeks.

Also this cute dog is helping to hold on to my sanity in this garbage timeline so yay for little (60-pound) blips of light?

Potato has discovered windows exist and it’s his new favorite thing. He is so cute.

I've been ENGAGED for less than 48 hours and a) I'm trying really hard not to make it my entire personality and possibly failing and b) people are already asking me about PLANS and I am overwhelmed lmao

Potato is such a Velcro dog that because I slept in until noon, he did, too 🤣
