The Trump admin can’t shut down the Department of Education outright—that would require an act of Congress. But they’re determined to gut it as much as possible, with consequences that could be devastating for students and families.

Have no doubt about it, the administration's EO to dismantle the department of education will harm the most vulnerable students and communities. There is a reason for a federal civil rights education agency.
