After 44 years teaching, my husband and I made the decision this week to completely retire. We still love what we do, but we’re really excited to make the leap!

Been teaching in Oklahoma 44 years. I hate the idea of four-day weeks. It’s impossible to get as much instruction in four days as opposed to five. But I also understand the need to be able to recruit teachers. Especially in an area like Tulsa where there are so many districts in driving distance.

I promise not to post a picture of the pea salad that always finds its way to our family Thanksgiving table. 🤢

This is when you just count your entry fee as a donation to whatever charity is sponsoring and stay in front of the fire.

As a teacher in Oklahoma, we have to have a background check any time we change schools—and the teacher pays for it!

I already bought it and it’s on my reading list. I’ll be ready to report back!

I was there at the game. Later, Ceedee was in the end zone where we were sitting and played out his toe tap for the crowd during a time out. This catch was unbelievable—just so disappointing it didn’t count.
