The Catholic Biblical Federation was created to carry out the recommendations of the II Vatican Council concerning the Bible and to be of service to the Bishops in the fulfillment of their responsibility to proclaim the Word of God to all the faithful.

On the occasion of fundraising activities in California, CBF Secretary General Fr. Jan J. Stefanów, SVD, visited the newly appointed Bishop of the Diocese of San Diego, Michael Pham.
As part of his working visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo, on Thursday 5 June, the Secretary General of the Catholic Biblical Federation, Fr. Jan J. Stefanów SVD, was received by the Secretary General of the National Episcopal Conference of Congo (CENCO), Monsignor Donatien Nshole Babula.

As part of his working visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo, on Thursday 5 June, the Secretary General of the Catholic Biblical Federation, Fr. Jan J. Stefanów SVD, was received by the Secretary General of the National Episcopal Conference of Congo (CENCO), Monsignor Donatien Nshole Babula.
The CBF General Secretary has been invited to attend the SVD Triennial Meeting on the Four Characteristic Dimensions of the SVD Africa and Madagascar Zone, which is being held in Kinshasa from 1st to 8th June 2025.
