You could scale it up to discord to find servers for specific interests like pokemon drawing. Or gather some friends and do a weekly weekend meetup (Maybe a draw together)

When I started Uni, I thought I could create lots of new friendships that are more than just the occasional lunch breaks together, yk like painting together or board game nights.ike actually hanging out. But I believe I should be actively hosting something (even small things such as the game night)

Trust me, just talking to them (easier said than done, I know v.v) often resolves this issue.

Also I think it’s not wrong to be hesitant and even have a bit of self-doubt. Everyone would love to be liked by those who they admire. And often they are, it’s just not said out. I myself even struggle with giving compliments just because I don’t know how the other side will react :c

I can’t imagine people at BFC being not open to meet others. Out of experience (not BFC related) I know that it can be hard to approach others and just talk to them. But then again others may (and some definitely are) struggling to talk to other people when they would like to.

I understand that it hinders talking about music (I tried it before, it was both funny and somewhat weird to explain) but don‘t feel ashamed for you taste. I‘d love to listen to other peoples music, even though it is niche music like VGM or small creators or smth. :)
