Sometimes I make things.
Ooh, contouring the muscles will really make them pop out.

Took way too much work, but so worth the end result.

Muscle definition on a fursuit, you say?

I know it's probably not as good for the clippers, but a few spritzes of water from a spray bottle does wonders for getting the shaved fur to clump rather than fly around the room.

Happy New Years! A few hours early, but I'm going to be busy later.

If anyone actually reads this whole thing, thanks? It's mostly just me shouting into the void to help clear my head, but maybe the void is not as empty as it first seems.

...I'm going to stop myself from writing anything more metaphorically philosophical.

Main goal for 2026 is to get back to being a more active force in my own life. Even with the larger state of the world feeling like a crushing weight, there's still a lot that I can do, even if it only impacts myself or a few people around me.

Anyways, I'm super thankful for all of the incredibly wonderful people in my life: family, friends old, new, and everything in between. All of the good parts of my year have really been because of the cool, interesting, supportive, fun people I've been lucky enough to know.

Not sure why I wrote a really long, rambling recap of my year, maybe just needed to vent a bit and get the thoughts out of my head to clear up space to go into the new year a bit more fresh

It could very well be seasonal (I've been getting worse seasonal depression the past few years), but I have noticed things getting a bit better the past few weeks. Reached out to a few people I haven't spoken with in a while on a whim, and it ended up well each time.

Haven't kept up with fitness, haven't been great at keeping up with a lot of my friends, haven't wanted to do as much creative personal work, haven't really made an effort to make things happen, and generally just waiting for things to come to me instead of pushing for things to happen.

I'm definitely trying more to focus on the positive things of the year, but there's definitely been a few downsides. Not sure what has caused some of it, maybe burnout, maybe letting myself get lazy and complacent, but I've felt like I've been a lot more passive and procrastinating this year.

Also finally managed to get back to dancing, as I got in touch with a local furry dance group to join up with them for open session practices.

Also got to spend time with my D&D group in person (in which time we played absolutely no D&D because we were too busy with going on actual adventures). I'm very lucky to have my friends @fablesandflumphs.bsky.social.

Busy summer months with conventions, personal travels, and local events, and things were hectic but great. Capped this off with a first year (officially) staffing at Furry Migration, getting to spend some time with all the friends I still have out there (and need to be in touch with more often).

connections in a few months. But I did talk with some really awesome people and joined up with a local brewery get together (thank you @yop-dog.bsky.social and @soulfruit.bsky.social for making that group, it's always great). Making friends as an adult is hard, but social hobbies make it easier.

But the move definitely took a toll. Didn't really connect with a lot of people outside of work and it really started to take a toll on my well being. Finally managed to get to a local furry event in May and talk with people, but it's still hard to build up an equivalent of 7 years worth of local

Started the year by moving halfway across the country for a new job. Job is great, but this year has been chaos for companies like the one I work at. Stability is never a guarantee, but at least I have good people to work with and a good employee focused work culture (yay employee ownership).

Fabric Empire has some halfway decent minky for ~8$ a yard.

I may have accidentally picked up a bit of solar observation terminology. Going to share this link because it's cool and relevant to the topic: www.swpc.noaa.gov
