Hermes is just a JS engine it won't provide any runtime. the runtime is react native itself.

Yeah, it’s using Hermes, and soon we’ll have static Hermes, which outputs machine code for JavaScript.

Deno isn’t a JavaScript engine; it uses V8 under the hood. I believe there’s a React Native V8 you can use as well.

I would say it’s whether you need a web app or not? and also being able to push updates over the air without need for app store approval is also another bonus point for react native
