Christmas party tonight. In order to go without mum-guilt (hahahaha) my husband is taking small to a fancy ice rink for the day which means I have the day before the party pretty much to myself. So I’ll be catching up on client notes and watching the somatic trauma workshop I missed.

Well today’s the day, 18 years after her autism diagnosis and after a decade in SEND placement the council are assessing big to see if she has a learning disability 🫠
Just so that they can say ‘no’ and justify continuing to give her no support what so ever I imagine.
Not cynical, just experienced.

As someone who always puts an x on the end of messages it is a CONSTANT effort not to do it when I msg my therapist to say I’m outside (door is on the other side of the building to the room). I fear the day is coming.

First ‘snow’ of the winter (and maybe last winter too, not convinced we had any last year) and starting the day at 10°c in the house thanks to broken boiler.
I had weeks without heat thanks to a faulty boiler when the kids were small and I’m not enjoying reliving that at all.
