I'm a software developer, not a hardware expert, but I agree with @k1nk4j0u.bsky.social. Ubuntu LTS releases now offer 15 years of support. Debian is friendly with bash-completion and command-not-found packages added. Confession: Windows 11, VirtualBox, but have dual-booted in past.
