I just got a new astro camera and used it to take the below picture of the Andromeda galaxy. I'm not 100% satisfied with the color balance on it or the overexposed core, but it's not bad for a first try.

Got a computer program that adds diffraction spikes to stars, so now my stars look like stars instead of dots or blobs. I've heard a similar effect can be achieved just taping fishing line across the telescope aperture in an X shape. These are the Pleiades and the globular cluster M13.

The smoke from the Canadian wildfires prevented me from imaging my deep sky target, so it's more pictures of the Moon. These didn't turn out too badly though. 🌙

So I finally fulfilled a lifelong dream of imaging a deep sky object and it's the first one I ever saw through a telescope: the Orion Nebula! And look at it. I mean, just look at it!
