Here's to listening to the wisdom of the body.

Those 15 minutes on day 11 turned into an additional 20 minutes of sun salutations, a definitive win.

Today, day 12 I am traveling and won't have my usual set up I've slept about 2 hours in the last 24. Think the goal tonight is for some restorative postures and a full length yoga nidra.

I continue to be in awe of how showing up on the yoga mat daily mirrors how I show up in the world. Tiny lessons, every day.

Our bodies send signals of avoidance to keep us safe. Sometimes that safety keeps us stagnant; other times, it’s in our highest good to be cautious.

The wisdom is in learning to discern the difference.

Life simply isn't black and white and neither should our choices be.

I’ve danced around this truth for years, even with attending two YTT.

External expectations have pulled me away from this practice many times before, that ends here.

It’s now abundantly clear: this year isn’t about completing a challenge, it’s about changing my life.

Turns out my mind tends to count me out long before my body actually gives up. Sometimes it just takes a little time, grace, and adjustment to get them back on the same page and that’s when the magic (growth) happens.

A neighbor rang the doorbell repeatedly, and I kept bracing for someone to walk in.

Still, I breathed through it and made it through the practice with my eyes mostly open.

Interestingly I noticed that the more I visually tuned into the world around me the more agitated I felt.

A useful insight as this pattern recurs in my life.
