I received the illustrations for my next picture book called “An Aquarium Adventure: A Tales From a Penny Story”. This is one of the illustrations. I’m pleased with it. Hopefully it will be finished by May.

I was in the middle of writing a suspenseful scene in my mystery novel - totally focused and then … someone knocked on my door and had to stop writing. Hope I cagey that mojo back.

Yesterday was a big day for me. I signed a contract with a traditional publishing company - Cushing Publishing - for my adult mystery novel!
Moved into a new house today. Still have stuff at the old house including 3 of my 4 cats. The cats are stressed and freaked out when I tried to put them in a crate. My brave warrior cat went into the crate without fuss. He and my dog are at my new house. Tomorrow I will try to get the remaining 3.

Today I returned to work after having 8 days off over the last 2 weeks. In a way it was nice to get back into my normal routine. There are parts of my job that I truly enjoy.

Going to be on my own for Christmas Eve. That’s a first. When I was younger all my 3 siblings and I would go to our parents house and have a prime rib dinner that my mom would make. Often another relative or two would join us. This year snuck up on me before I realized I’d be alone. Oh well

This weekend I need to start working on the instructions I will need to give to my illustrator to create the 11 illustrations for my third picture book due out next spring/summer. This is the fun part as the illustrations will bring my story to life.
