Developer market is struggling but i think AI is not the major reason. We are suffering the consequences of 'learn coding for future', 'become a dev in 6 months' campaigns and decisions made during covid. Companies are struggling financially and excusing AI to not to look bad.

You can't pronounce shell without hell (i am trying to figure out how to manage dotfiles efficiently :))

TIL we are using dotfiles because of a bug in 'ls' command. ls meant to skip printing '.' (current dir) and '..' (parent dir), however it skipped every file and directory that started with a dot. People abused this bug to implement hidden files/directories, hence the birth of dotfiles :D
