"Instead of PIP, how about assisted suicide?" ... did no-one in No 10 think about the optics of pushing cruel Tory-esque cuts to disability benefits and assisted suicide?
I generally approve of the idea of legalising assisted dying, but the optics of doing it while cutting benefits for disabled people are *terrible*.

Since we’re all female at conception, 1) Trump’s order makes everybody in the U.S. female; 2) for those who develop into males a few weeks after conception, they’re now trans. Maybe headlines should read “Trump order creates more than 160 million trans males”

Trump signed an executive order that tries to write trans people out of existence today.
It's mostly symbolic.

By my count, Trump has already rescinded three of Biden's executive orders promoting LGBTQ equality: 13988 (broadly protecting LGBTQ people's civil rights under federal law), 14021 (protecting LGBTQ rights in education), and 14075 (affirming LGBTQ equality in health care + protecting LGBTQ youth).
