I'm so excited that among the all-women crew on the Blue Origin space flight that went up today - Amanda Nguyen was amongst them. She’s an incredible advocate for SA survivors, putting off her dream of going to space to pass laws that help survivors.

I was gifted a beautiful orange Erika typewriter! It’s an orange Erika model 100, which typically registers requiring a universal ribbon spool, but my universal spools won’t fit on this piece. Any tips for spool size, typewriter friends?

I spent the most amazing afternoon with friends at the Houston Museum of Natural Science going through the King Tut’s Tomb exhibit. I was thrilled to find Thoth represented among the collection - as he is the Egyptian god of writing and science to the gods.

This coming year, I want to focus more on community building and engaging (both digitally and locally), being more present in my friendships. It feels more important than ever to really connect and build - because right now it feels like things are barely being held together.

I write research and collaboration stories right now. In the past I’ve written about restaurants, business openings and closures, health emergencies and a pandemic, industry impact, fine arts, events, and more. At the end of the day: I’m a writer. It’s all about documenting the human experience.
