Maize is a kind and gentle soul who sacrifices herself for the greater good. A true altruist. Ysef will have already started marching on the town hall before you could say "upside down". "The Refuge has fallen" is his favourite slogan. Mason just wants to water his plants, for God's sake! Watcher, in true doomer fashion, expects the world to end any minute. She's correct. Niko lived contentedly in their small rural traditional village with their mama, until they were isekaid off to a place where they have to travel in a big, multicultural city, while worshipped as a deity. Truly, the moment of all time. Penguin is an agent of chaos, a terrible omen, an absolute disaster just waiting to be launched on the unsuspecting populace. Slightly to the left of Ysef. Prophetbot is young, naiive and eager to help the Messiah in their sacred journey. He has a lot to learn. Prototype is rusted with age, and just as jaded. He reluctantly helps out, if only to save the ones he holds most dear. He knows too much. [ROWBOT CAN MOVE! ROWBOT CAN WORK!] Rue is a wise and charismatic figure who helps out our little cat child by lowering the existential dread just a little bit. She genuinely cares for the life around her. She and Maize could use each other's company. Silver is a Frankenstein's monster, misunderstood and left to rot after an accident that faulted the creator, more than the creation. Nonetheless, she lives on. And plays chess. Niko, Google 'En passant'. Shepherd had a little lamb. And a farm. And a very high property value for that farm. Helps her illicit freemason activities in the Refuge. The World Machine, clearly wishing to display its evident daddy issues, decides to needlessly guilt-trip the player for having to make an impossible choice. As a wise man once quipped, "The best argument to refute a moral nihilist is to kill them".

Alula is the jolly card. An impressionable child, she holds all and no opinions at once, making her the perfect centrist. Bookbot will ruthlessly and unquestionably follow any command you give him, regardless of what that command may be. He's the perfect citizen. Calamus lives independently with his sister, far away from society, and in harmony with nature. Clearly learned a thing or two from Kaczynski. Minus the terrorism. Cedric is the son of a successful inventor, one who'd rather run away, forever, to a miniature version of his world, than enjoy the life he has left. Cedric fully believes in him and his plan. The Author is a successful inventor who runs away from his problems and hides inside of a miniature version of his world where he's the bestest person of all time and publishes so many books that it pushes George in the red quadrant from all the work. George is tired, overworked and lives in an apartment that looks more like her workplace than her home. A Stakhanovite through and through. The Guardians are big, strong, and despite their hidden sensibilities, they succumb to the orders imposed upon them. Kelvin, despite being similar to the Guardians, manages to find a way to turn his mundane purpose into a noble one. He breaks his chains of labour and manages to turn them into beautiful sculptures. (He warms up the local cats). Kip is a lot like George, except with red hair and pronouns. Lamplighter is stuck under the oppressive boot of his work environment, but cannot remove himself from it, and ultimately accepts his role in the capitalist machine, in true false conscience. Ling is a business owner, but his generous offer of free pancakes is uncharacteristically thoughtful of someone with money at the forefront of their career. Basically already a marxist in training. Magpie is a sketchy trader of dubious quality and ethics, who will obtain shiny things at any price, even his own well-being. He's also hot.
