Every comic book is somebody's first. It's why I was flabbergasted by the context-free presentation of events in the debut issue of "Captain America: Steve Rogers".
Comic panel: The normally patriotic and kind character, Captain America, is portrayed grimacing, manhandling a prisoner, and saying "Hail Hydra", the catchphrase of the bad guys.

Uncanny X-Men #303. I didn't know a single thing about any of the characters or their world when I picked it up, but the story hooked me into starting a 20-year collection hobby.
