this is the thing. are there clauses and provisions in the constitution that require other knowledge to understand? absolutely. but the constitution was first and foremost a *public document* meant for *ordinary people* to be able to read and understand
I always think, when I read about the tortured interpretations of the constitution, “I can read.”

Sounds like a stellar idea. Maybe follow up with Anne Frank. I think a lot have omitted that story lately, because it's inconvenient and dark.
