With a healthy Giannis, Bucks are not a tanking team. Ousmane and Cam certainly look like nice additions. Could be a scary play-in team. No championship chance but bar is very low. Surprise and maybe Bucks can convince Giannis to stay especially with the increased flexibility this off-season.

Rollins yes. Cam Thomas will need to be very good to earn an extension. Bucks have been in the resuscitation business for a long time. Thomas is a gifted offensive player. Hasn't been enough. Playing with Giannis has been very good for many players. Could be just the thing. Let's hope so.

Happy that they are keeping Giannis. The rest can be dealt with this off-season. Guessing that Bucks aren't done.

Nothing wrong with buying low. Grizzlies holding a fire sale. Ja would entertain as Bucks reset. He is only 26...and maybe just maybe Giannis might reconsider. I know wishful thinking.

McDaniels gives Wolves a real chance in my view.
February 4, 2026 at 4:48 PM
Looking at it from Wolves' standpoint, Giannis opens the door to a championship. They should do everything conceivable to open the door that has alluded them forever. Now is their window. Others will jump in this off-season if they fail now. GM Horst knows this.
February 4, 2026 at 3:16 PM
Why would Bucks let McDaniels go to the Blazers? He is that young player they need. Randle makes no sense in Milwaukee.
February 3, 2026 at 8:34 PM
Bucks will need 1st round picks for Giannis.
February 3, 2026 at 8:20 PM
Yes. The young guy who needs to be given the chance and is on the upswing. He certainly brings the defense and would be an important piece even if he isn't a #1 option. No sure thing in any trade but get in as many swings as possible. All draft picks trade (GSW) is too big of a risk for Bucks.
February 3, 2026 at 4:04 PM
If this deal is going to happen, Bucks presumably need a high upside young player and a number of very valuable draft picks. Rest would be mostly filler. Minnesota has Jaden McDaniels. GSW has no such player but has the picks. Miami and Knicks. Nothing. Wolves just need to get the picks.

No Giannis. No KPJ. Good luck AJ. This is not a good team.
February 1, 2026 at 10:32 PM
Giannis trade possibility has to be taking their entire bandwidth. Small deals presumably will fall by the wayside. Adding a Cam Thomas or DLo unlikely to change this season's trajectory. Acquiring De'Andre Hunter would be different. Nice fitting piece for Bucks.

It is hard to determine leverage now. Giannis opened a door for the owners to make a thorough evaluation. The owners hold alot of keys now in that a team has 2 years of playoffs with Giannis in his prime even without an extension. His value may deteriorate after that.
January 31, 2026 at 1:17 PM
Thank you! Flip side of playing chicken is he doesn't sign. Giannis is prideful and wealthy now. His NBA legacy is most important to him. Bucks have smart owners. They are gathering facts of the value of their most valuable asset. If they trade him, presumably they considered your approach.
January 31, 2026 at 11:27 AM
Love your optimism. Bucks have tried everything to keep Giannis over the years. No reason they'd give up now if there was any hope to keep Giannis long term. Have to think GM Horst laid out his and the owners plan to return the Bucks to relevance. Guessing Giannis didn't buy it.
January 31, 2026 at 3:59 AM
Your question assumes that there is a realistic chance that Giannis will sign another extension with the Bucks. If the Bucks are listening to offers and willing to trade Giannis, I think that it is fair for the fans to surmise that Giannis has made his decision to move on and has told management.

What got us here? Main culprit. Age and injuries. First KM. Next Brook. Then Dame. Now Giannis. Changing coaches. Didn’t help. Silence from the top. Didn’t help. Hail Mary this past offseason. Didn’t help. Long-term direction to convince Giannis. I’m afraid it is too late.

Locked on Bucks had a special podcast yesterday (its second of the day) to discuss the latest developments on Giannis.
January 29, 2026 at 6:31 PM
Would sort of prove the point that sticking with your team through thick and thin may in fact be the best path. Steph has been rewarded.
January 29, 2026 at 12:44 AM
Anunoby would be a terrific long-term piece for a Bucks team looking for a quick reset. Don’t see a total rebuild coming. Closer to the Kareem trade where Bucks got established young players and a couple of rookies (in our case very good 2026 draft picks).
January 29, 2026 at 12:36 AM
Isn’t trade deadline February 5th?
January 29, 2026 at 12:27 AM
Why wouldn’t Bucks want Anunoby? Extremely talented 2-way player. Mikal Bridges to Portland. Still get picks.
January 29, 2026 at 12:25 AM
I will always be a Giannis fan. He brought us a championship and, as a season ticket holder, I got to see it all up close. He also brought something else. Class and wisdom. As messy as it may get, he has consistently put us on notice that winning means more than his love of Milwaukee.
January 28, 2026 at 9:59 PM
Bucks fan base presumably would be shaky at best if Giannis is traded. A total rebuild would be a disaster. A mix of young star quality players and strong draft picks over next 3 drafts has to be the minimum. Bucks don’t have to trade Giannis now especially if tanking is their best strategy.
