In any case it's funny that both these oddball portables correctly knew they'd need a falling block game and EACH figured out truly unique and fun gameplay- the post Tetris boom in the late 80s/early 90s produced a ton of glossy junk. Lumines and Meteos both kick ass.

Being a game that just plays the best with a stylus really hobbled it into the future. Same goes for Elite Beat Agents/Ouendan. The DS didn't produce a ton of games that were absolutely at their best with a stylus but those couple that were just sort of dead ended.
