Heated seating and built-in bidet. It's the best thing ever, and my most favourite memory from Tokyo ;)

I'd prefer the war to stop today, but since Putin is not stopping voluntarily, he either has to be stopped, or Ukraine has to surrender.

Once you acknowledge that Putin has no intention of stopping, those are your alternatives.

Which do you choose?

Putin will only sue for peace when he understands he can't make progress through war. Therefore, we need to massively enhance Ukraine's military capabilities, as well as the same for the rest of Europe.

Convince him that we're serious and real peace talks will begin.

Maybe I should ask the question differently.

What do you suggest Ukraine should do when Putin demands something that it just can't give? Alse, what reason do we have to believe that Russia will honor a potential peace deal in the long run? He has never let word on a paper stop him in the past.

So if you are Ukraine, what are you going to offer Putin?

Russia has repeatedly stated that any deal has to give them large swaths of Ukraine they are not currently controlling, a reduction of the Ukrainian military to a fraction of what it is today and for the current government to resign.

Any settlement that does not give security for Ukraine and the entire border to Russia is simply kicking the can down the road.

I don't think many people disagree that a negotiation has to take place, but a Ukrainan surrender is not a peace plan, and as of today, that's what Russia is after.

I don't know what the final deal will say, but if the US has economic interest in Ukraine, it's likely to be a deterrent for Russia long-term.

It's probably not a bad move by Zelensky and Ukraine.

That's not at all what the $20B valuation means.

It's the present value of the weighted average of all possible future values of the company. If it turns out to be a viable company 10 years from now, it's likely to be worth much more than today's valuation.

It is also worth mentioning that the USSR was a defacto ally of Germany up until the very day of being invaded.

I am happy you are not in charge of the history curriculum in schools. The war was in no way over before the bombs fell on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The USSR lost a horrific number of people in the war but would not have prevailed if not for the help from the other allies in the time after June 1941

This is first time I hear of you, to be fair 🙂
