All across the country loved ones seem to be waking up, possessed by something far more evil than anyone ever imagined.

When he finds his child-hood home in shambles and his parents stuck in a concerning trance on the incessant news on the TV Noah knows deep in his bones something is wrong and when he tries to snap them out of it his mother attacks him. But Noah isn’t alone in this new nightmare of a world.

With no help or insight from his equally conservative brother, Noah decides to check in on his parents days before Christmas and the supposed “Great Reawakening” his mother keeps talking about.

Overall yes I did! I am literally in love with Gideon!!! I will say the world building was a little confusing to me and some of the fighting scene were hard to picture but overall I zipped through the book and really loved it. I’m excited to pick up book two!

It is!! Lots of fantasy and horror writers in the mix. I’ll have to share any cool stuff I learn :).

I totally feel this!! I think a lot of it is just practice. Anne Lamott’s book on writing “bird by bird” is a great reminder that books are built little by little :).
