I'm a few bags behind you...

26 to be exact.

Yes exactly! Sorry, my intent was not to suggest you were saying otherwise. Just that specific aspect led me down my realization thought path. That choice is what matters, the transaction doesn't make it any less real.

You can't own a connection. It can't be bought or owed. But it can be chosen, and you can own your own choice.

The transactions, whatever they are, around that choice don't devalue the choice itself.

It's down to choices. There are transactional aspects, give and take, to any relationship. But what makes the relationship, any relationship, are the choices that each person makes. Entitlement negates it all. No matter what a person can't own another.

Your like brought me back to the thread. Rereading after some self reflection this morning triggered something in me.

Specifically the way you said "your person." They aren't mine, I don't own them and nothing about the transaction gives that. But I do own the choice of them.

Yes, I do this regularly.

It's also why I was a big fan of the switch and its lack of any always online distractions.

Never any expectations other than to open the door when I arrive.

Human connection isn't something that can ever be owed or owned.

Thank you for sharing.

All relationships are transactional. Just relationships such as these have those terms more clearly defined.

Which tears down a lot of barriers, at least for me.

Thank you for affirming my beliefs/thoughts.

That sounds perfect TBH. Others tell me it's a lie, ploy, con, etc but you're not a robot or an object of desire, that isn't how intimacy works.

How do others treat it as such? Maybe I should stop wondering and just enjoy.
January 9, 2026 at 3:30 AM
That seems backwards.

I wonder why.
January 7, 2026 at 6:33 PM
Yup. Wow factor or capitalisation on revenue through online services instead of focusing on the art and fun of it.

That's why most of what I play are cheap $30 or less titles from smaller studios using graphics from 20-30 years ago. They're just more fun. Made by people passionate about the hobby.

Too much reliance/focus on technologies like Ray Tracing and DLSS.

Writing/Composition/Cinematography are so much more important which the Studio behind Expedition 33 has clearly demonstrated.

Carrier pigeon tribute delivery would be great.

I had this!

Wtf happened to it...

I wish I was able to indulge in your company.

I'm so excited to get started on mine!

Actually, it has made many women interested in me.

Doesn't change I'm autistic and have no clue they are flirting with me or able to do anything beyond my awkward fumbling.

I've seen these. How do you not make a mess with them? Like... I just imagine poop water sprayed everywhere...

I like having showers after number 2.
December 31, 2025 at 4:27 AM
My head is far too big unfortunately
December 30, 2025 at 5:03 PM
I need more like buttons, one isn't enough.
